LaKendra Huckaby

LaKendra Huckaby is a colorful, exuberant artist who specializes in digital as well as traditional portraits and abstract masterpieces dedicated to showing the beauty that comes with being a person of color. Born and raised in Columbus, GA, she has been creating professionally since 2010 when she opened her art business, Huck Designs.

Since beginning her journey into what she does today, LaKendra has created work for multiple celebrity clients as well as participated in many art shows across the country. Her work has allowed her to connect with communities and people from all walks of life in ways she never thought possible including through the acts of teaching and service.

Most notably, she is having her solo show debut in her hometown later this year. The show will be titled "Eye See In Color" and will be dedicated to the large body of work reflecting LaKendra's pride and joy in being authentically herself.

Imani Muhammad

Imani is a Multimedia Communications major and Senior at Augustana College. She has been published in both poetry and journalistic settings. She has also been a digital artist for two years. Her art is an extension of her poetry.

Aisha Nailah

Aisha is a Connecticut based multidisciplinary visual artist and certified teacher with a B.A in Art Therapy. Her works are mainly multimedia painting and collage using various layered techniques in what she calls "urban abstract figurative", taking inspiration from being an African Diasporan woman of Costa Rican heritage as well as being heavily inspired by graffiti and just a love of color. She has recently added muralist to her artistry. Her interests and talent in art started in her childhood, both of her parents were artists. Aisha pursued art professionally and started exhibiting work in 2010 while finishing her bachelors degree. She has since exhibited both nationally and internationally as well as curated multiple exhibits and creative events. She says that her art “comes from a place of spirit and culture first. It speaks in BLACK and then in color.”

Bunny Babbs

Within the space of a canvas, Bunny tries to portray what reality is in her mind. Geometry and abstract shapes fill traditional figures and elude many colors to formulate how she sees the world. She hopes to pull viewers out of their traditional world momentarily and give them a more logical place to exist.

Teresa Morcho

Teresa Morcho is a Cameroonian-born activist, creator, and Army veteran that intuitively and strategically creates businesses that solve problems. Morcho is the founder of Stud Model Project, LLC, a creative agency specializing in digital content of masculine presenting people of color assigned female at birth ( AFAB) for business and commercial use.
